In 2008 Sarah Gorton set out to design a range of premium spirits distilled with smooth textures for a females often more delicate, discerning palate. As a busy working mum, the brief was to create a gin suited to making premium cocktails for those cherished nights out, or simply inviting friends over for an evening of fun, laughter and a few G&T’s. Working with Joanne Moore (The UK’s only female Master Distiller), Pink 47 London Dry Gin was created, using Italian Juniper berries that give the classic foundation, angelica and two corianders. Citrus fruits and almonds from Spain are expertly balanced with West African nutmeg and several exotic spices from the Orient. Taking inspiration from her engagement ring, Sarah appointed a crystal glass designer to produce the bespoke 70cl Diamond bottle. After all.… “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”

The success of Pink 47, which included Tesco Spirit of the Year and 13 International Spirit Awards, encouraged Sarah to continue her investment and expand the Diamond Spirits range, which now includes a Vibrant Pink Gin – Pink Royal, Flavoured with Cranberries, Raspberries and Blackberries. And a Luxuriously Smooth Diamond Clear Vodka – Blue 42. Today over 30,000 Diamond bottles are produced filled and distributed every month. Available for £27 from Morrisons and Amazon.
