As a company our friends at Corinthian Sports Ltd wanted to find a challenge that would be both difficult mentally and physically (and something a bit out of the norm) in support of their Charity of the Year, the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
The Niesen Stairway-Run seemed like the perfect race to participate in, and it proved to be a great experience for them all. With 11,674 steps and an elevation gain of 1669m the staircase, which runs alongside the funicular, is the longest in the world. Runners start every 20 seconds with the aim of completing this 3.5km trail, known as "Switzerland’s Pyramid".
Every step taken was to help raise money for those who have been affected by breast cancer. It was certainly a challenge and we are extremely proud of the team for getting to the top – a rewarding experience for a great cause. Thank you!
