Good luck Lizzie! I think you’re slightly bonkers but extremely brave doing a wing walk but it’s for such a great cause so good luck.

Lizzie's Story

On Friday 25th July, I’m trading the stage (and the bar!!) for the skies as I take on a daring wing-walk to raise funds for the fabulous Pink Ribbon Foundation. This is a heartfelt mission to bring awareness, raise funds, and honour fighters and survivors everywhere.💗 Flying high for the fighters 💗 Soaring in memory of the lost💗Dancing in hope for a cure

WingWalk

Hi, I'm Lizzie,

I have decided to take an opportunity to try and overcome my fear of flying ..... And what better way to do this by facing it head on ......

This Wing Walk challenge i feel will be a great way to give something back to this amazing charity.

More recently than ever, the 'C' word is becoming more and more frequent  and affecting so many people in different ways on a daily basis.

In 2019, one of my best friends asked for my advice ....... She had found a lump !!

After appointments and referrals the devastating news was given to her .... She had Breast cancer.

My friend is a very strong minded, confident person. She gave herself a shake and put on her big girl knickers and faced the diagnosis head on.

It was far from plain sailing .......... just before she started her radiotherapy, she had a fall, resulting in breaking her leg !!!!!! Talk about kicking a girl when she's down !!

I was there to offer a helping hand with appointments .... I'm still not sure to this day which she feared more ...... My driving ....... My wheelchair skills ...... or the actual diagnosis !

Still, I did what any friend does .... supported her in any way possible. Whether that was cooking meals for the family, taking her to appointments, making her laugh, having a cry with her or sat on her bed watching s**ty day time TV !!!!

6 years on ...... I've got my mate back !! She never lost her inner sparkle.

I'm so proud of her, but more proud to be called her friend.

Any donations big or small would be gratefully accepted.

Thank you so much for reading my story (or should I say my friend's)

Wish me luck !!!!
