Good luck Hydratron!
Hydratron -charity team's Story
Annually in Hydratron we organise a charity fundraising event, two years ago we climbed Ben Nevis, last year we climbed Scafell Pike, so keeping with the theme, this year we have decided to attempt the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.
We have seen magnificent generosity each time, over the last two years raising about £4,500.
It takes all of us together to raise as much as we can to really help people who need real help.
All funds raised go directly to the Pink Ribbon Foundation, who are a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK Charities that work to help people who are suffering from or have been affected by Breast Cancer as well as funding research to advance the understanding of Breast Cancer, its early detection and treatment.
This year we have 13 in the team Lined up to take on a 24-mile route incorporating the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres). Like this is not difficult enough we aim to complete all this in under 12 hours.
We will convene on Friday the 20th September, camp locally and with a very early start plan to complete the challenge on Saturday the 21st.
All donations will be greatly appreciated and go to very important areas of support and research into Cancer.
Thank you
